A bioclimatic pergola that opens to the sky
SKYTEKS Slide (1600 Slide series) combines two movements: the louvers rotate up to 52° to control light and ventilation, and also stack to one side – so a large part of the roof can open to the sky above you. When closed, the system provides shade and rain protection, draining through the gutters and columns.
The profiles are made of aluminum 6063-T6 in an exclusive Tenteks design. The structure is designed for a snow load of 350 kg/m² and has passed 10,000 opening and closing cycles in tests by IFT Rosenheim and SGS. Sealing relies on dedicated strips and gaskets with no silicone, and the structure can be fully disassembled for easy installation and maintenance.

Every profile, joint and component of the system is designed for strength, efficient drainage and long-lasting sealing. These cross-sections are from the Tenteks catalog.
Protection in all weather
Depending on the louver angle and how far it is open, the system provides full shade, ventilation or an open sky – and shelter from rain when closed.
Scissor mechanism
The louvers are connected by a strong scissor mechanism that lets them rotate up to 52° and stack together to one side – opening the roof to the sky.
Rear section and motor
The motor tube has a special cross-section that prevents bending over wide spans, and a dedicated TPE seal protects the motor compartment from dust and dirt.
Joint between louvers
Double TPE sealing strips in water-exposed areas, and a reinforced inner wall that keeps the louver’s shape and prevents water from pooling.
Front section and gutter
The seals also keep leaves and twigs out of the drainage channels. The gutter weighs 9.925 kg per meter and holds up to 8.58 liters of water per meter.
Side section
Low-friction Delrin wheels on the louver connecting pins move quietly and smoothly along the sliding rail.
Drive mechanism
A tubular motor transfers motion via a timing belt to a drive carriage with asymmetric wheels. An adjustable tension pulley keeps operation quiet and stable.
Column profile
Column 160×160 mm, weighing 5.5 kg per meter, with a cover that hides the anchoring and drainage, and steel reinforcements along its length.
Ground connection
A reinforced steel flange with hidden anchors, fixed to the column at six points for even load distribution.
Corner connectors
Connectors for single, double or quadruple systems, with injected TPV seals. Water can be drained through any of them.
Lighting profile
Single-color LED (2700K–6500K) or RGB in a dedicated profile built into the gutter and isolated from the drainage system.

Note: a bioclimatic pergola is a shading system with moving louvers, not a fixed roof. When closed, it drains rainwater through the gutters and columns, but in heavy rain some local dripping may occur.

Yes. With the roof closed, the pergola itself does not leak and rainwater drains through the system in the columns. Leaks can only occur at the seam between the pergola and the wall it is mounted on.
