Bioclimatic pergola with rotating aluminum louvers
SKYTEKS Roll by Tenteks is an electric bioclimatic pergola in which each louver rotates on its axis – and at the push of a button you control the amount of sun, ventilation and shade. With the louvers closed, the system protects from sun and rain and drains water through the gutters into the columns.
All profiles are an exclusive Tenteks design, made from aluminum alloy 6063-T6. The structure is designed for a snow load of 350 kg/m², has undergone a structural analysis approved by Gazi University, and has successfully passed 10,000 opening and closing cycles in tests by IFT Rosenheim and SGS.
The Roll series comes in two families – 1600 (models R206 and R173) and1400 (model R173) – and in MAX versions for large spaces with fewer columns.

Clearance height (H1) in all models: 220–300 cm. For larger areas, several modules are joined with connectors and a shared drainage system. Dimensions according to the Tenteks catalog.

Silicone-free sealing
Specially engineered strips and gaskets fit the profile channels and improve water and air tightness, acoustic and thermal insulation, and control of light penetration – with no need for silicone or external sealants. This keeps the system performing for years.
A finish that lasts for years
The profiles are coated with Qualicoat-certified electrostatic powder paint that resists sun, humidity and outdoor conditions. You can choose from a range of colors so the pergola blends with the architecture of your home or business.
Integrated LED lighting (optional)
A dedicated LED profile lights both the space and the louver surface. Single-color LED: 24V, 11.5 W per meter, 120° beam angle, color 2700K Up to 6500K of your choice. LED RGB: 24V, 14.4 W per meter, with color and transition-effect control. Both lighting types operate at temperatures of -40° Up to +60°.
Ventilation and sun control
In R206 models each louver rotates up to 90°, and in R173 models up to 120° – a 30° larger range of motion that lets you aim the shade precisely according to the sun’s angle at any hour. When partly open, hot air escapes upward and creates pleasant natural ventilation.
Reinforced louver
The louver has an internal structure with reinforced walls that increase its rigidity and prevent warping over time. Double TPE sealing strips in areas exposed to heavy water flow improve sealing at the joints between louvers.
Water drainage from the louver
The louver’s geometry prevents water from pooling on its surface and directs it into the perimeter gutter. A dedicated rear seal closes the gap between the last louver and the structure, reducing wind penetration and improving rain protection.

Protection in all weather
Depending on the louver angle, the system provides full or partial sun protection, natural ventilation and shelter from rain – so the space stays usable in every season.
Rear section
At the last louver, a dedicated TPE seal closes gaps, reduces wind penetration and keeps rainwater out.
Joint between louvers
Double TPE sealing strips in water-exposed areas, and a reinforced inner wall that keeps the louver’s shape and prevents water from pooling on its surface.
Front section and gutter
The perimeter gutter assembly weighs 9.925 kg per meter, is double-walled and holds up to 8.58 liters of water per meter – enough drainage even for large installations.
Side section
Load-bearing profiles 20×40 mm integrated into the gutter, with low-friction Delrin bearings ensuring quiet movement and minimal wear for years.
Operating mechanism
IP69-rated linear actuators, 304 stainless steel connectors and a steel connector of 15 mm that transfers motion to the louvers for controlled opening and closing.
Column profile
Column 160×160 mm (in the 1400 series: 135×135 mm) with a cover that hides the anchoring, connections and drainage, and steel reinforcement along its length.
Ground connection
A reinforced steel flange with hidden anchors, fixed to the column at six points for even load distribution and long-term stability.
Corner connectors
Connectors for single, double or quadruple systems, with injected TPV seals. Water can be drained through any of them.
Lighting profile
Single-color LED (2700K–6500K) or RGB in a dedicated profile that lights the space and the louver surface, isolated from the drainage system.
Louver wheel
On MAX models, a dedicated wheel is fitted to the underside of the louver without cutting or altering it, and runs on the middle rail.
Middle rail
The middle rail allows wider louvers and splits the lighting into two even zones – a clean look and balanced lighting over large areas.
Quiet operation and drainage
Wheels on specially coated stainless steel bearings reduce noise, and their position helps drain water that collects on the rail.
SKYTEKS FIX – a solution for corners and special angles
SKYTEKS FIX is a fixed louver module that complements Roll systems in the 1600 and 1400 series for projects with corners, angles or non-standard shapes. The louvers are cut to the site’s geometry, and angled corner connectors keep the 90° gutter cuts, drainage and sealing intact – so the whole structure looks uniform.
- Angled louvers – cut to the shape of the area.
- Full integration with the system – shared drainage and a shared structural column with the moving module.
- Optional LED lighting in the gutter profiles, matching the moving modules.

Note: a bioclimatic pergola is a shading system with moving louvers, not a fixed roof. When closed, it drains rainwater through the gutters and columns, but in heavy rain some local dripping may occur.

Can lighting and side enclosures be added?
Yes. You can add LED lighting profiles, as well as side enclosures such as screen curtains, sliding windows or guillotine windows.
Does an electric pergola protect from rain?
Yes. With the roof closed, the pergola itself does not leak and rainwater drains through the system in the columns. Leaks can only occur at the seam between the pergola and the wall it is mounted on.
