Types of Aluminum for the Home:
But before that, let's get to know aluminum as a material. Lightweight, durable, and versatile: these are the characteristics that make aluminum one of the central engineering materials of our time.
We can find aluminum in the houses we live in,
the cars we drive, the trains and planes that take us long distances,
the mobile phones and computers we use every day,
the shelves inside our refrigerators, in modern interior design,
but just 200 years ago, very little was known about this metal.
The types of aluminum for home use is a silver-white metal, element number 13 on the periodic table. One surprising fact about aluminum is that it is the most abundant metal on Earth's surface.
It makes up more than 8% of the Earth's core mass. It is also the third most common chemical element on our planet's surface after oxygen and silicon.
However, since it readily combines with other elements, pure aluminum does not exist in nature. This is why people learned about it relatively recently. Aluminum was officially produced for the first time in 1824, and it took another fifty years for people to learn how to produce it on an industrial scale.
The most common form of aluminum found in nature is aluminum sulfates. These are minerals that combine two acidic compounds: one based on an alkali metal (such as lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium, or cesium) and the other based on a metal from the third group of the periodic table, primarily aluminum.
Aluminum sulfate is still used today for water purification, cooking, in medicine, cosmetics, chemical industry, and other sectors. By the way, aluminum got its name from aluminum sulfates, which were called 'alumen' in Latin.
Types of aluminum windows and doors for a private home
Sliding windows:
Sliding glass manufactured with 10mm thick Sisecam branded glass. The locking and carrying components are made of high-quality aluminum material. All system components have been designed with innovative techniques to provide easy and practical service when needed. The tight sealing integration between aluminum and tempered glass is UV-resistant. We use aluminum frame structures from the T5 6063 alloy blend.
Lift-up windows (guillotine):
An automatic glass window system, when open, transforms into a barrier, guard, or railing. This system can serve as a barrier solution suitable for hotels, cafes, restaurants, patios, stadiums, and more.
The automatic guillotine glass window system, with numerous patented innovations such as the "Safe Grip Profile," which is specifically designed to prevent finger trapping.
Accordion window:
Glass curtains can be moved without the use of tracks or pulleys. The screws and locks help keep each panel in a stable position. It's easy to adjust, align, and operate the panels. The sturdy rollers allow the system to support heavy boards.
These can also be used in shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, and offices - any place where you need a flexible solution to maintain an open space when needed, while also providing security and visibility when closed.
